YEAR 9
Engage Stage
In Year 9, students continue to explore the wide range of options within My Salesian Passport while also participating in the STRETCH Program for one semester. The STRETCH Program equates to three units for the semester, affecting the number of MSP electives studied in Year 9.
Students entering Year 9 must choose the following:
- Two units of Mathematics (one ‘Semester One’ and one ‘Semester Two’ or one ‘Year Long’ subject)
- Two units of English (one from Option A and one from Option B)
- One unit of Religion
- One unit of Science (includes all Agriculture, all Science, Focus – Physical Education, Focus – Outdoor Education, Explore – Rockets and Drones, Explore – Electronics, Engage – Engineering)
- Three subjects from the wider MSP offering
- Two RUAH courses
YEAR 10
Focus / Reach Stage
In Year 10, students have the option of choosing between a traditional VCE and a Vocational Major VCE pathway for the first time. For further information about these pathways, please consult the Bosco Campus Pathways Planning Handbook.
Traditional Year 10 VCE Pathway
Students studying a traditional Year 10 VCE pathway must choose the following:
- Two units of Mathematics (one ‘Semester One’ & one ‘Semester Two’ or one ‘Year Long’ subject)
- Two units of English (one from Option A and one from Option B)
- One unit of Religion

- Six subjects from the wider MSP offering
